Climate Change: The Road to Bali and Beyond
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) re-looks at the key issues and concerns, and offers a fresh roadmap for the future

  New Delhi, December 03, 2007:
Climate change is for real, and it is right here and right now. Global warming has postured itself as global warning even as the politics of posturing amongst international players continues. India is already a victim not only of the ecological repercussions but also political discussions.

Nations have congregated at Bali this week to discuss, once again, the menace and the ways to tackle it. With the crucial ministerial meetings scheduled later in the second week, India needs to take a proactive and leading position on the issue. But are we equal to the task?

CSE invites you to a Press Briefing to understand the science, economics and politics of climate change, as also India’s responses to it. And offers a framework for an effective climate convention for the future. Sunita Narain, director, CSE and Chandra Bhushan, associate director, CSE will deliver presentations.
