EIA Transmission Line, Bhutan

Centre for Science and Environment in cooperation with National Environment Commission, Bhutan conducted a five day workshop for the 55 officers of the Bhutan Power Corporation in Paro, Bhutan on the EIA and Environmental Management of Transmission Line Power Projects from September 2-6, 2013. The programme was attended by 50 officers of the Bhutan Power Corporation.  The inaugural session was lecture of the training was given by Mr. Chandra Bhushan who addressed the participants about CSE and the global energy scenario. Sustainable Buildings for Sustainable Cities: Policies and Practices 6 -8 August 2013

The Sustainable Buildings programme of CSE organized a 3 day training programme titled  ‘Sustainable Buildings for Sustainable Cities: Policies and Practices’ for the engineers and architects of CPWD – Ghaziabad. It was attended by 25 participants belonging to varied professionals fields such as civil engineering, architecture and electrical engineering. The course was conducted from 6th -8th August at the Anil Aggarwal Green College.

Orientation workshop on Parking policy, July 26, 2013

A special interaction orientation workshop on Parking policy was conducted by CSE in collaboration with GIZ on July 26, 2013 to discuss the emerging best practices in parking policy and how cities can craft a parking policy focusing on TDM principles. CSE along with international expert, Paul Barter and Manfred Breithaupt of GIZ conducted the programe. Around 50 participants including regulators from India and South Asia, international experts, planners, consultants, students, media etc attended the workshop.
