Grain/Molasses based distillery and a Co-generation Power Plant (2.2 MW) by Malwa Brew & Alcohols (India) Pvt. Ltd. This was based on a request from Prakash Patidar of Khargone,
Madhya Pradesh.

Gorakhpur nuclear power plant makes headway

The government seems to be succeeding in pushing through the proposal to build a nuclear power plant in Fatehabad district of Haryana. Much of the opposition seems to have melted away after the farmers affected by the project received compensation at the rate of Rs 46 lakh per acre (0.4 hectare) from the Haryana government.

The project concerns the construction of four nuclear power plants, in Gorakhpur Haryana, with a capacity of 700 mega watts (MW) each by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL).

CSE's Environmental Assessment of Jasodharpur Industrial Area in Uttarakhand

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) presented its environmental assessment of Jasodharpur Industrial Area (JIA) in a public meeting on June 11, 2012 held at Maganpur village near Kotdwar town in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.

The Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board had requested CSE to carry out this assessment.
