International Training Programme on Water Sensitive Urban Design and Planning in Kenya, January 16-20, 2017

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), India in collaboration with Kenya Water Institute (KEWI) conducted a five day international training programme on “Water Sensitive Urban Design and Planning (WSUDP)” from 16-20th January, 2017.  27 state and non-state practitioners across seven African countries (Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Malawi, Somalia and Gambia) participated in the training programme to learn about WSUDP as an approach to identify rainwater, storm water and waste water as resource rather than nuisance.

International Training on Faecal Sludge and Septage Management

Date: December 18-21, 2016

Training of Trainers of Testing of Faecal waste (Sewage and Sludge)

The training is part of three stage handholding process – an initiative by CSE to support other existing laboratories in Ganga basin states and across India. The focus of ToT is to create multipliers – mid level lab technicians and lab managers who can further train fellow technicians as well as contribute to effectively monitoring any decentralized treatment system that manages wastewater/ faecal sludge in long run as certified laboratory. The details of proposed handholding training is as follows -

Training programme on Faecal Sludge Management Toolbox

Date: January 9 to 12, 2017

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) and National Faecal Sludge & Septage Management (NFSSM) Alliance in collaboration with Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has conducted four days training on “Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) Toolbox” for BMGF grantees.
