Outcry over PCB notice on ‘eco-friendly’ immersions

Ranchi, October 3: City-based Durga Puja committees on Sunday condemned the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board’s direction to remove all objects and material connected to worship and rituals from idols along with flowers, jewellery, paper, sari and other fabric ahead of immersion.

Training programme for environmental regulators 2013-14

We are delighted to inform you that the training and capacity building programmes for State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) and Pollution Control Committees (PCCs) done by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) in collaboration with Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) and Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) have successfully completed two and a half years.
