Waste from houseboats killing Vembanad Lake, says study

ALAPPUZHA, April 28: A study conducted by Alappuzha district panchayat reveals that houseboats in the district are "killing" Vembanad Lake, the largest wetland ecosystem in south India, by dumping huge amount of waste into it.
