A media briefing for rural, regional and local journalists
Sambalpur, Odisha

December 18-19, 2012

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi and the Water Initiatives Odisha (WIO) organised a workshop on environment and its reportage for journalists with a track record of covering local environmental issues in any language – working in the smaller towns of Odisha Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar.

While issues of local relevance, such as mining, forest rights, water, land and agriculture, were covered in the workshop, panels also included editors who gave their perspectives to make reporting and pitching more reader friendly.
