Workshop on Clean Air Strategic Action Plan and Implementation in Nigeria

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a New Delhi, India based public interest research and advocacy organisation is organising a Workshop on Clean Air Strategic Action Plan and Implementation in Nigeria in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment, Federal Democratic Republic of Nigeria on February 20, 2018 in Abuja. This workshop represents our initiative to promote good regulatory practices, facilitate exchange of ideas and strengthen capacity in the region to address the emerging challenge of air quality management, clean vehicle technology and fuel quality roadmap, vehicle import policy and mobility management.

CSE had collaborated with the FME and organised stakeholder workshops to deliberate air quality and transportation challenges in Nigeria and agenda for reforms for integrated clean air action plan with key regulatory agencies from Abuja (including Lagos)/Nigeria. This is a follow-up workshop and will bring together officials from key regulatory agencies involved with the issues related to air quality monitoring and management, vehicle import, clean vehicle technology and fuel quality and sustainable mobility management strategies in Abuja/Nigeria to discuss key strategies including vehicle technology and fuel quality roadmap, vehicle import policy to reduce importation of used vehicles, informal-formal transport modes integration etc.
