MoU signed with Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics –Jamia Millia Islamia

CSE has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics (FAE)  at Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI), one of the top central universities in India, as knowledge partners in the area of sustainable urban water management.

The objective of this knowledge partnership is to jointly establish and sustain research, educational, and civic engagement efforts to promote water sensitive design and planning and green infrastructure aimed at supporting global water security and safety through ongoing initiative at CSE’s Anil Agarwal Environment Training Institute (AAETI) of School of Water and Waste (SW&W)

JMI/FAE and CSE/SW&W will explore collaboration covering research, knowledge exchange; capacity building and experience-sharing in areas of mutual interest:

  • Water Sensitive Urban Design and Planning (WSUDP), (rainwater harvesting, stormwater harvesting techniques in parks and open spaces, and water demand supply management)
  • Urban Lake Management (ULM)
  • Green Infrastructure (GI)
  • Decentralized wastewater treatment including local reuse
