Dear readers,

Climate change is threatening Indian cities like Kolkata and causing unusual wildfires in Kerala. India’s water security is also greatly at risk. And climate change is also threatening the livelihood of Himalayan shepherds.

The city of Mumbai recently prepared a Climate Action Plan, and it could potentially be achieved through renewables like solar and wind.

Globally, a new study states that wealthy oil producing countries must phase out oil and gas production by 2034. Permafrost peatlands in Europe and western Siberia are nearing their tipping point, according to another study.

Our upcoming training programme titled Demystifying Climate Data for Communication and Action will be held from April 11 to 25, 2022. You can register here.
