A weekly digest on impacts, politics and science of the climate emergency; from the Global South perspective. Access our extensive coverage on climate. You can find this newsletter in the web here.
Dear readers,

The IPCC published the third instalment of its Sixth Assessment Report on April 4 – it provides many cheap and viable solutions to halt climate change.

In a new addition, it also includes demand-side options for mitigation, showing what individuals can to do reduce emissions.

But the rest of the world is distracted by the Russian war and the fight for ‘energy security’ has shifted focus back to fossil fuels.

Meanwhile, climate change is causing ever-increasing impacts like the latest heat wave in Odisha.

And drought is afflicting countries in Africa like Somalia and Kenya.

To make sense of these climate trends, join our upcoming training programme titled Demystifying Climate Data for Communication and Action, from April 11-April 25, 2022.
