The case study Gorakhpur City Resilience Strategy (CRS) was formulated under the Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN) programme of 100 resilient cities. It represents that strategies for conservation of the water bodies is an integral component of flood mitigation. The case study also highlights the role of citizens taking ownership to clean and manage the water bodies. The contents provided in this case study is based on secondary research from open sources mentioned in reference section and don't necessarily reflect those of Centre for Science and Environment.
