Target Audience

The target audience for this compilation includes practitioners involved in urban water management challenges. This comprises the city officials from urban local bodies (ULBs) and development authorities from states, such as urban planners, architects and landscape architects, town planning officers, engineers, and others involved in preparing and enforcing regional and master plans, zonal plans, city development plans and city sanitation plans and other local design.

Further non-state actors such as decision makers and technical staff from private organizations and resident welfare associations (RWAs) can also benefit from these case studies. This includes a concerned citizen trying to understand the appropriate solutions for his/her region, city, neighbourhood, residential complex, institute.

C-GINS is designed to provide value to the following target groups:
  • Practitioners/peers: Providing the opportunity to practitioners like Architects, Planners, Engineers, Hydrogeologists, Geographers to engage, educate, influence and up-skill with WSUDP and GI principles.
  • Government institutions: Support for a paradigm shift in decision-making in support of GI & WSUDP Principles providing practical advice and tools to deliver on state/regional level strategies and policies.
  • Researchers: Larger application of research and development outputs, enhanced research coordination, and informed research to help focus and research needs of value to policy, planning, design, practice and assessment.
  • Community: More liveable communities, lowest infrastructure costs to deliver green sustainable cities and healthy waterways, and a better informed community on WSUDP & GI principles.
