CSE has completed 42 years of research and advocacy work since it was founded in 1980 by the visionary environmentalist and IITK alumnus, the late Shri Anil Agarwal. The noted environmental activist, Sunita Narain, has ably led it forward since the past 20 years and CSE is now a globally recognised think tank.
