CSE is looking for a Research Associate to work towards sustainability in built sector with a focus on energy and resource efficiency in buildings. The candidates with a clear understanding of building design, material and construction techniques, building operations and performance monitoring and benchmarking, energy/ environmental audits, green ratings, etc. are anticipated.
Selected candidate will be a part of Sustainable Buildings and Habitat Programme and work towards cutting the resource footprint of the buildings to meet the broader Programme objectives of reducing overall emissions from built sector and improving the quality of our habitat.This includes improving performance of the existing built stock, ensuring the new construction has a low resource footprint, maximizing adaptive comfort in building by intervening in design, optimizing operational and equipment efficiency and all this by pushing for implementation of sustainable development practices at state and local levels.
He/she will conduct high quality research and dissemination via writing, presenting, networking and policy advocacy under Programme objectives. This will also include capacity building of regulators and building professionals.
