Kiran Pandey is Programme Director of the Environment Resources Unit at Centre for Science and Environment (CSE). With over 26 years of experience in environmental documentation and communication, she contributed to development of the India Environment Portal.

She has been reporting on national and international developments in Down to Earth magazine of CSE. She leads the CSE/DTE Environment Data Centre which is responsible for churning out data stories, factsheets and interactive for web and other publications of the Centre for Science and Environment.

She is author of the annual book “State of India’s Environment: In Figures” and has brought out four editions of this book so far. This publication authored by her has been the country’s most authoritative annual publication to make a statement on state of environment through data analysis and meaningful infographics.

She has also been promoting digital literacy and data-driven communication/ journalism in India, Africa and South Asia through trainings and workshops.

Rajneesh Sareen works as the Programme Director for Sustainable Habitat Programme with the Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi.

He is leading the Programme's several research and advocacy initiatives on sustainable urbanisation, resource efficiency and low-impact development. He has a working experience of around 20 years on sustainability in built environment.

He was associated with various National, Bilateral and Multilateral agencies like British High Commission, American Embassy and World Wide Fund for Nature.

He is an Urban and Environmental Planner from School of Planning and Architecture New Delhi and an IEMA certified advanced environmental systems auditor.

She is a post graduate in Geology having vast experience in research on water management and sanitation in India and Global South. Her current responsibilities include capacity building, research, knowledge dissemination and policy advocacy in water management and sanitation. She has contributed in the writing, compilation and preparation of various scientific education materials in international journals, books and reports under the broad theme of rock, soil, aquifer, groundwater management, urban planning and sanitation.
