Integrated Online and Residential Training: Revive your River

Most cities in India have a river flowing by them. These rivers not only act as the primary drinking water sources for their cities, but are religious and cultural hubs as well. Many of these rivers are now suffering severely – polluted by domestic and industrial sewage flowing into them and uncontrolled urban growth eating into their flood plains; several are ‘biologically dead’ and have transformed into drains at best.

As climate change continues to take an increasing toll across sectors, water is becoming one of the worst hit resources. Cities must gear up to rethink the management of their water – and rejuvenating their rivers, planned carefully and strategically, could be a game-changer in the longer term

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) invites applications for its two-part intensive training programme on the subject of rivers and their revival. CSE’s team of river and urban water management professionals will be spearheading the programme, which will include online and onsite sessions, class discussions and interactions and field visit, among other things.
