Bridging the Gender Gap in Sustainable Sanitation

This event is complete

Engagement of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in operation and maintenance (O&M) of Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs) represents a crucial step in empowering communities, particularly women, while enhancing sanitation management in urban areas. Through the AMRUT MITRA project, several initiatives have been designed to strengthen SHG participation and build their capacity in managing FSSM facilities effectively.

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) invites all to a webinar to discuss what more to do for strengthening SHG involvement by sharing experiences, case studies, best practices and lessons learnt from real-world engagements. The webinar will also attempt to present insights from the AMRUT MITRA project and release CSE’s Training Needs Assessment Report of Women SHGs in O&M of FSTPs.
