CSE's Community Seed Banks (CSBs) interactive dataset provides a snapshot of the efforts to conserve traditional, climate-resilient seeds across India.

The interactive features information collected from 20 NGOs, 22 community seed banks, and two individual seed savers across 15 states. All data is based on primary outreach conducted by CSE through structured questionnaires, and expert consultations. It draws on responses from 13 states where NGOs are active and 4 states where community seed banks provided direct inputs. The dataset includes crop names and their traditional varieties, organized by state, conservation method, and organizational structure. A total of 887 seed varieties covering 71 crop species are represented, including climate-resilient and indigenous varieties.
