Training Programme Associate for Clean Air and Sustainable Mobility Programme

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a research and advocacy organisation is looking for a Training Programme Associate for its Clean Air and Sustainable Mobility Programme to develop and conduct capacity building and training programmes on air quality management and sustainable mobility strategies for diverse group of stakeholders. CSE’s Clean Air and Sustainable Mobility Programme conducts training/capacity building in India, Africa and South Asia.

This is a critical programme that represents our initiative to promote good regulatory practices on air quality and sustainable mobility management and related issues. The objective of the programme is to sensitise, guide, build regulatory capacity and leadership of officials from various government departments and agencies involved with formulating, implementing and driving change with these intervention strategies and also other stakeholders like academia, researchers, industry, civil society among others.

We are looking for a graduate or a postgraduate in sciences, environmental sciences, urban planning and design, and social sciences with strong domain knowledge, organisational and management capability for conducting capacity building/training programme. Experience of at least 2-3 years will be given preference. This position will be responsible for both on-site and off-site training programmes.

Work profile

  • Design training programme and customise to the needs of regulators and other target groups on air quality and sustainable mobility management.
  • Contribute to research and also customise research products to develop training modules and resource material for training programmes.
  • Organisational skill to conduct training programme and also deliver classroom lectures in respective domain areas.
  • Networking skill to build trainee community from different target groups.
  • Willing to travel to do research work and organise meetings, trainings and associated activities as required by the programme. 

Competencies

  • Good communication and networking skills with interest in organising trainings and meetings
  • Knowledge of MS office/word/excel applications.
  • Language proficiency - English (speaking, reading and writing) and Hindi (speaking and reading), knowledge of other local languages is also welcome.
  • Willingness to travel.
