Down To Earth is the pioneer environmental magazine in India. With both print and digital presence, we are committed to make people aware of the politics of environment and development by filling critical information gaps. Our stories are based on ground reportage from villages, farms, forests, research labs, hospitals and industries in India as well as in other countries, and involve in-depth analyses of policies and regulations.

Our website (www.downtoearth.org.in) is a daily with global coverage. Over 100 writers/reporters contribute to the digital edition with a vibrant multimedia segment. We are multilingual.

Qualification and Experience: 

Applicants should meet the following criteria: 

  • Must have at least 3-5 years of experience at digital/print newsroom.
  • Should be able to ensure sharp story-telling in a language compatible to the digital readership.
  • Must have an eye for analytical reportage and be prompt in ensuring reporting of developing stories.
  • Should be comfortable with social media; knowledge of SEO and key-wording will be considered an added advantage.
  • Should be able to anchor news stories and be able to step in to construct a copy from scratch with a quick turn-around time.
  • Must be updated with the latest technology that concerns the digital world
  • Should have the skill to adapt story for the web and multimedia platforms
  • Down To Earth is a small and dynamic team of reporters and copy editors which requires team players.
