CSE was also a part of this committee. Due to pressure from the food industry, FSSAI came up with another draft in 2019. The food industry was still not happy and the draft was scrapped. Discussions took place on the labeling design from January-June 2021. The report said that after consultations in February, the authority plans to go ahead with the Health Star rating.
