First severe smog hits Delhi, nation’s capital could experience longest season since 2017: report
This year could be the worst smog episode for Delhi and its neighboring regions, warns the green think tank Center for Science and Environment (CSE). Smog is expected to last another two days in Delhi-NCR areas, according to the Green Think Tank. This means that the first episode of severe smog in Delhi could be the longest in four years. According to Anumita Roychowdhury, Executive Director, Research and Advocacy at CSE, the first smog episode of the season was triggered by the combined effect of inclement weather, stubble burning and firecrackers.
