Collaboration the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA)

A PMU has been established at UPNEDA with two CSE consultants. To support implementation of the Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) scheme in the state, CSE is engaging obligated entities, improving data quality, and assessing compliance challenges. As a result, registered entities have increased from 320 to 470, and verified RPO compliance data for 280 entities has been submitted. For FY 2026-27, compliance submissions for the first quarter have also improved significantly, rising from one to 40 entities.
