Internship Opportunities at CSE’s Water Programme

Duration of Internship: June-July/August, 2021 (8-12 Weeks) 

Background of Programme 

The Water Programme at Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) aims to establish policy principles, innovative technologies and implementation strategies for water/wastewater management and inclusive sanitation. These efforts have been directed towards meeting the twin goals of laying foundation for water prudent society and adapting to climate resilience both rural and urban areas.

Scope of Work

We are inviting interns to assist in the ongoing research, advocacy and capacity building initiative focusing on urban water management. The interns will be involved in following thematic areas-

  1. Water Sensitive Urban Design and Planning(WSUDP) including Rainwater Harvesting
  2. Urban water bodies / lakes conservation and management
  3. Urban Ground Water Management
  4. Citywide inclusive sanitation including Preparation of City Sanitation Plans (CSPs)
  5. Preparation of Shit Flow Diagarms (SFDs).
  6. Faecal Sludge & Septage Management including decentralized wastewater treatment and local reuse.

Qualification

  • Pursuing final year or completed: Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate in Engineering, Architecture, Environment, Planning, Water & Sanitation Management.
  • Good writing, communication and coordination skill.
  • Good knowledge (reading, speaking and writing) of English& Hindi.
  • Computer Proficiency - MS Office, Auto-Cad and others.

Stipend

This is an unpaid internship.
