Stories and Signals of Sustainability from India’s Green Schools
This book draws on data submitted by schools through the Centre for Science and Environment’s (CSE) flagship initiative under the Green Schools Programme (GSP) — the GSP Audit. It begins with headline numbers that capture scale, such as renewable energy generated, water harvested and reused, waste diverted from landfills and shifts to everyday practices such as commuting and food choices. Beyond the big numbers, the book also looks closely at patterns that averages often hide. It highlights how context shapes outcomes by comparing practices across different types of schools.
