Roundtable to promote safe sanitation in schools of Baghor Panchayat, Rajasthan on July 26, 2018

CSE organised a round table on July 26, 2018 at Anil Agarwal Environment Training Institute to discuss the state of sanitation in schools of Baghor Gram Panchayat, Tijara Block, Alwar District, Rajasthan. The aim of the meeting was to make Baghor Panchayat the first Panchayat in the district of Alwar to have schools with safe and sustainable sanitation. 

CSE was requested by the District Administration, Alwar in April, 2018 to guide them in developing clean government schools in Baghor Panchayat. The district Alwar is not only focusing on hundred per cent household coverage under the Swachh Bharat Mission but also putting equal emphasis on the improvement of school sanitation.

The meeting was attended by CEO, Alwar District, Block Development Officer of Tijara, school heads, representatives from Education Department of the district and Panchayat officials. CSE had surveyed the state of sanitation in the schools of Baghor Panchayat and presented the issues and solutions. The CEO Zilla Parishad requested CSE for hand holding support in developing 10 such model schools in the said gram panchayat.
