Understanding Environmental Management and Strategies for Addressing Industrial Air Pollution

The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), in collaboration with the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), is organizing a training program titled “Understanding Environmental Management and Strategies for Addressing Industrial Air Pollution.” This initiative aims to enhance the capacity of RSPCB officials by equipping them with various approaches to effectively manage industrial air pollution.

The program’s primary objective is to provide officials with the knowledge and skills needed to address environmental concerns, with a focus on industrial air pollution. Participants will gain insights into environmental laws and acts, such as the Air Act (1981), Water Act (1974), and Environmental Protection Act (1986) as well as the board’s responsibilities, which include granting consents, noting drafting, transitioning from polluting to cleaner fuels, ambient and stack monitoring, developing emission inventories, and promoting cleaner technologies like common boilers and other ways to reduce industrial air pollution
