Multimedia Journalist

The Centre for Science and Environment, an established non-profit institution known for its rigorous and scientific policy research and advocacy on environmental issues, requires digital content journalists to cater to the growing audience of www.downtoearth.org.in, for the website of its fortnightly news magazine Down To Earth and for developing video based content for the site.

The Centre for Science and Environment, an established non-profit institution known for its rigorous and scientific policy research and advocacy on environmental issues, requires digital content journalists to cater to the growing audience of www.downtoearth.org.in, for the website of its fortnightly news magazine Down To Earth and for developing video based content for the site.

The person should be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. The person's primary job would be to write video scripts; shoot and edit video based stories and interviews. The secondary responsibilities would include promoting the video content through social media networks. Experience in data visualisation would be given preference.

Minimum Experience: 2 years.

Key Skills:

  • Should be well conversant with DSLR based videography.

  • Should be well conversant with video editing and compositing softwares like Adobe premiere and after effects.

  • Should have basic knowledge of audio recording and microphone setups.

  • Should have a good command over English

 

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel would be an added bonus.

  • Proficiency in data visualisation software like Google Fusion Tables and Tableau Public would be preferred.

 

Salary will commensurate with experience.
