Certificate Course on Environmental Monitoring and Data management Date:January 15-19, 2018

One of the major activities of environmental governance is the monitoring of environmental components such as water, air, noise quality, etc. The data thus generated needs to be processed through various statistical techniques to meaningful information. This information leads to evolve water/air/noise quality management, science base decision making process for environmental clearance of project and violation detection. The information also needs to be disseminated to general public for their participation on Environmental Management.

Anil Agarwal Environment Training Institute (AAETI) recognises this challenging activity of environmental governance and offers a broad base environmental monitoring and data management training programme. The objective of the programme is to provide a better understanding on developing a monitoring network and presentation of the collected data to general public.

SALIENT FEATURES OF THE TRAINING COURSE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  • Laying down environmental monitoring network programme (location, parameters, frequency) with respect to both extensive and intensive;

  • Measurement techniques both conventional and SMART system;

  • Quality assurance and quality control programme to ensure reliable data generation;

  • Statistical techniques on data analysis to evolve refined information from raw data;

  • The entire training programme is designed to emphasize on knowledge base skill development;

  • Class exercises in addition to lecture shall be the components of entire training programme and

  • The focus shall be to ensure that the participants while returning will have knowledge to lay down environmental monitoring programme.
