POSOCO to be rechristened as Grid Controller of India Limited

State-run Power System Operation Corporation Ltd (POSOCO) will soon be rechristened as the Grid Controller of India Limited. A resolution was passed in this regard at the company’s AGM (Annual General Meeting). “Keeping in view the enhanced role of the Company in the energy transition and its statutory functioning it was decided through a resolution passed in the 13th AGM on September 28, 2022, through video conferencing mode,” an official statement said. However, an official announcement is yet to be made in this regard.

The meeting was attended by S.R. Narasimhan, CMD, Directors, Company Secretary, CFO, and representatives from the Ministry of Power and Statutory and Secretarial Auditors.
