Have few minutes for a major mobility concern? - The Parking dilemma - How much to pay and for what?

This questionnaire is meant for a study aimed at preparing a MODERN, organised infrastructure for parking vehicles (cars, two-wheelers, bicycles) and also providing excellent walking and cycling facilities in and around the neighbourhood of Alaknanda Market. This would be done to remove the chaos from the market and make it more walking friendly with an orderly manner of parked cars and two-wheelers. This is important also to ease the flow of heavy traffic through the region on all sides. This questionnaire should not take you more than 10 minutes. Training Programme on Clean Air and Sustainable Transportation Strategies for Liveable Cities

Air pollution is the fifth largest killer and seventh biggest illness burden in India as estimated by the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) report. The speed at which urban air pollution is growing across our cities is alarming. Severe particulate pollution and newer pollutants like nitrogen oxides, ozone and air toxics are worsening the public health challenge. Vehicles are a special challenge as these are the fastest growing sources of air pollution.

Experience sharing workshop on EIA and SIA for Indo-African countries

Date: 15-26 September, 2014 It goes unsaid that in order to improve environmental governance, the roles of efficient and worthy Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) along with an equitable growth through proper Social Impact Assessment (SIA) are indispensable. They are not merely tools to assess possible impacts and suggest mitigation for the environmental and social issues, but processes, which if done well, can yield unexpectedly positive results in the form of sustainable and equitable growth.

Training Programme on EIA of Wind Power Projects

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi is going to organise a hands-on three-day training programme aimed at giving practical exposure to participants on EIA with specific reference to wind power projects. The objective of this programme is to enable stakeholders to understand the likely impacts of the project and allows them to make sound decisions during various stages of project development.

Orientation Programme on Managing Urban Air Quality: Focus on Clean Vehicle Technology, Fuels and Mobility Management

The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is organising a three-day orientation programme on Managing Urban Air Quality: Focus on Clean Vehicle Technology, Fuels and Mobility Management in New Delhi from August 6 - 8, 2014 for government officials from different cities of India. The objective of this forum is to promote good regulatory practices in air quality management, clean vehicle technology, fuels and management of in-use vehicle fleet and mobility management.
