Workshop on National Brick Mission: Finalizing the Road map for brick sector

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is organizing a two day workshop on “National Brick Mission: Finalizing the Roadmap for Brick Sector” on June, 24-25 atHotel Deccan Rendezvous, Pune.

CSE has been working towards promoting and advocating resource efficiency and emissions reduction in clay brick production sector across the country. The brick industry in India needs transformation and CSE’s initiative – National Brick Mission aims to transform the Indian brick sector by facilitating cleaner brick production by reducing emissions, improving energy and promoting resource efficiency.

The objective of the workshop is to gain a national level perspective on how the brick sector can be made sustainable through the expertise of various stakeholders in the subject. The programme will include multiple experts associated with the brick sector from the fields of clay mining, labour, de-silting, mechanization, fly ash etc.

The workshop will have exhaustive discussion sessions on various topics during which all the stakeholders will have the opportunity to put forward their viewpoints and perspectives.
