The Centre for Science and Environment is organizing a roundtable discussion on Decoding lessons from the first-generation EV programmes to inform EV policy 2.0 at Magnolia Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on June 20, 2025.
This discussion will bring together officials from State Transport Undertakings (STUs) and relevant departments and operators, key stakeholders from industry, the charging infrastructure and battery sectors, and implementation agencies from cities and technical experts.
This conversation aims to strengthen the knowledge and capacity of practitioners from various streams in the electric mobility eco-system-- transport departments, urban development departments, and public service delivery. It offers a platform for cross-learning among cities and stakeholders across all categories of vehicles—two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and buses—focusing on planning, infrastructure development, operations, maintenance, and performance benchmarking. This will contribute to the broader decarbonization agenda and India’s commitment to net-zero emissions by 2070.
