Shimla grappled with untreated sewerage: CAG

SHIMLA, April 12: The queen of hills and capital of Himachal Pradesh grappling with the problem of untreated sewerage leading to water contamination as open sewer lines are resulting into environment pollution. The state government had spent Rs 91.05 crore to provide pollution-free environment and to check the contamination of water sources at disposal points, but the objective has remained unachieved, according to the latest report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).
