PUNE, October 6: The Maharashtra government has sought central assistance for cleaning some of the polluted rivers in the state, bringing in its wake hope for improving the lot of rivers such as Mula, Mutha, Pavana, Indrayani, Bhima and Koyna in the Pune region.
