Date: June 28-29, 2016 Venue: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Regional Conclave on Excreta Management - Mainstreaming Sewage and Septage Flow Diagrams (SFDs) was conducted on June 28, 2016 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. CSE, Water Programme through this sensitization workshop aimed to develop SFD for their cities that are intended to use it as a planning tool to improve or prepare the City Sanitation plan, or to be able to have suitable interventions to improve sanitation situation. .

Our experience says that our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) framework has not been effective and failed to meet its objective of sustainable development. We understand that Cumulative Impact Assessment (CIA) is the right option which shall be adopted in environmental clearance process in India.
