The CBG Dialogues: Building a Bioenergy Nation

India imports nearly 50 per cent of its natural gas at a cost of over US $14,900 million annually. Compressed Biogas (CBG) offers a viable domestic, waste-based alternative — it has the potential to transform agricultural residues, municipal organic waste and industrial biomass into a clean transport and cooking fuel, while supporting India’s climate and energy security goals. Despite this, only around 206 plants are operational against a target of 5,000. What will it take to unlock the sector’s full potential?

Join us in our first webinar of the series to discuss the creation of a national blueprint for the sector.
