The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), an established institution known for its rigorous and scientific policy research and advocacy on environmental issues is looking for a Senior Scientist for its state of the art laboratory for monitoring pollution and toxins.
Applications are invited for the post of Lab Head for the upcoming state-of-art CSE lab being designed for studies on Wastewater and Faecal Sludge Management – safe disposal and re-use.
The job profile includes procurement, installation and commissioning of equipments required for monitoring various wastewater and faecal sludge including physico-chemical properties, microbiological parameters and nutrients, help professionals design and maintain the wastewater and septage management systems by providing crucial data, conducting cutting-edge research and carrying documentation on technology menus of onsite/de-centralized sanitation systems, provide knowledge support on demonstration projects in target areas such as Ganga River Basin.
The candidates should have a Doctorate Degree in the disciplines of Chemistry/Microbiology/Chemical Engineering and Technology/Environmental Sciences/Public Health Engineering/Environmental Engineering with at least 15 years of on-hand work exposure in a similar or related capacity.
Qualification and experience requirements can be relaxed in case of candidates found suitable otherwise.
