3rd GFCCE Workshop CUM Exposure Visit

Ensuring circularity in solid waste management (SWM) is an emerging global agenda, especially in the countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean region, collectively referred to as the Global South. This region is witnessing a burgeoning waste management crisis that is leading to irreversible environmental damage, as well as proving to be a serious economic challenge.

CSE’s Global Forum of Cities for Circular Economy (GFCCE) is currently a community of 19 member countries from the global south with a common agenda to improve their solid waste management ecosystem. GFFCE provides the platform to all the member nations for sharing new knowledge, practices, and evidence-based learnings to contribute to circular economy in solid waste management.

CSE is going to host senior representatives from 19 countries and India for a south-south cooperation programme between 1st to 5th May 2023 which includes a comprehensive training on sustainable solid waste management and an exposure visit to Pune Municipal Corporation to showcase Indian best practices under the flagship Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0.
