Factsheet: What to Expect at COP30

2025 is the year when all Parties to the Paris Agreement are expected to submit their Nationally Determined Contributions. However, just around one-third of them have done so till date. Additionally, the targets that were set at COP28 in Dubai under the Global Stocktake outcome are essential to track for analysing how countries are faring towards achieving the agreed mitigation targets. Furthermore, this year at COP30, crucial agenda items on just transition, adaptation, loss and damage, and climate finance are on the negotiation table. We address these questions in this year’s COP factsheet.
