Deputy Programme Manager for Media Resource Centre

Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Programme Manager for Centre for Science and Environment’s (CSE) Media Resource Centre.

CSE, a non-profit institution known for its rigorous and scientific policy research and advocacy on environmental issues, is looking for a dynamic candidate with good liaising capabilities, especially with various media houses. 

Job responsibilities would include:

• Assisting the senior director in charge of outreach, media and communications in designing effective outreach strategies for the institution
• Writing, rewriting, editing and helping produce press notes, releases, articles for a feature service, briefing documents for media etc
• Helping organize and manage press conferences, media seminars, fellowships and workshops
• Networking with media houses, groups and individuals across India and the world
• Managing content for websites
• Managing content on social media, and helping develop social media and online communication strategies 

Desirable qualification and skills:

A post-graduate in any discipline with a minimum of three-four years of experience in a media house or in PR/corporate communications, or in similar capacity in a civil society organisation. Language proficiency in both English and Hindi is necessary.
