Editors, Special Correspondents, Senior Analysts and Technical Writers for CSE’s Energy/ Renewable Energy Programme

CSE is launching an energy, alternate energy and efficiency vertical and is looking for young professionals who can change the world’s energy landscape

About CSE

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), founded in 1980, is a public-interest research and advocacy organisation based in New Delhi. It has been influential in shaping policies of Government of India and many state governments, as well as been a global influencer and thought leader in the science of environment, climate change, transportation, industrial and economic growth and governance. CSE has participated proactively in global climate negotiations, and advised several governments on environmental regulations and equitable resources use and just governance.

CSE plays a critical role of analysing developments and challenges in the fast-changing sector of renewable energy. Transition to clean and renewable energy is critical to increasing energy access and nurturing sustainable growth, and is the primary solution to mitigate the grave impact of climate change

We are building a team that would track the various renewable energy technologies and end-use applications, state policies, energy accessibility and equitable resource use.

Job Profile:

The primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing timely, factual information and data, as well as in-depth analysis on renewable energy, emerging technologies and innovations, and the link between energy and climate.
  • Writing daily reports, news stories, analysis and features, which would eventually lead to a consolidated State of Renewable Energy
  • Supporting CSE’s key role as a convener of stakeholder meetings and industry–government dialogue. These would lead to deeper and up to-the-minute understanding of the sector, technology and markets, policies and regulations. The eventual outcome is to prove policy and regulatory advice and development of strategies to address the evolving crisis of resources depletion and climate change.
  • Writing for the fortnightly magazine Down To Earth and using multimedia and social media to disseminate information and data that emerges. The team would also contribute to the annual or biannual state of industry reports, specifically State of Renewable Energy in India.

We are looking for

  2. Special Correspondents: With minimum 3 years of experience, ideally with an interest and commitment to work on energy access and renewable power.
