Scientist for Pollution Monitoring Laboratory, Centre for Science and Environment

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is one of Asia’s leading research and advocacy organization working in the field of environment protection. CSE has set up a state-of-the-art laboratory for pollution monitoring, septage management and food contamination. The laboratory is situated at CSE’s residential campus at Nimli, Alwar, Rajasthan – about 100 km from Delhi and 60 km from Gurugram. CSE also provides shuttle service for picking up and dropping from Gurugram to the Nimli campus.

The Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipments for microbiology analysis and for the monitoring and analysis of air, water and food contamination, including Gas Chromatograph with Mass Detector (GC-MS) High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC), Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS), UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Bomb Calorimeter etc. 

Job profile

The scientist will work in the pollution monitoring and food contamination department of the Pollution Monitoring Laboratory. She/he will be involved in designing cutting-edge research studies and carrying out sampling and analysis of organic/ inorganic pollutants in food and environmental samples. 

Qualification and experience

The candidate should have Ph.D. in Analytical/Organic Chemistry, having hands-on experience of working with sophisticated chromatographic techniques such as LC-MS, GC-MS and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy etc. The minimum working experience should be 5 years. Laboratory based research experience with publications in reputed journals would be preferred.

Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
