Managing our water and wastewater systems has always proven to be a monumental challenge for governments, planners and implementors. But hidden in the enormous expanse of India and its villages, there are numerous examples of how communities, people and administrations are innovating to make the impossible, possible. By ensuring access to safe drinking water. By efficiently managing greywater. And by adapting effective systems for treating faecal sludge.
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is bringing together some of these innovators and change-makers from all across the country to a day-long onsite meeting – to hear them recount their success stories, to celebrate their spirit of initiative and innovation, and to discuss if and how these practices and examples can be replicated across the nation.
The states that are expected to be represented at this national event include Odisha, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Telangana, Punjab, Gujarat, Karnataka and Kerala, among others.
CSE will release its latest publication – a compendium of these best practices – on this occasion.
We have limited seats, including some exclusively reserved for journalists; registrations will be accepted on a first come-first served basis. Confirmations will be e-mailed only to those whose registrations are accepted
