Rajasthan hosts a large number of lime kilns supplying key industrial sectors. However, continued reliance on outdated technologies and poor pollution control practices has resulted in high emissions and persistent compliance challenges
As part of its knowledge support to the Rajasthan Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) has conducted a comprehensive assessment of the lime kiln sector across major clusters in the state. The study identifies few gaps in technology, compliance, and operations, while also highlighting costeffective and technically feasible pathways for modernisation and emission reduction.
To disseminate the findings and enable informed dialogue between regulators and industry, CSE with support of RSPCB is organising this one-day sensitisation workshop.
