Workshop cum Capacity Building programme: Strengthening Implementation of Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) in Rajasthan

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), is organising a residential Workshop cum Capacity Building programme on “Strengthening the Implementation of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) in Rajasthan.” This programme is designed to accelerate stakeholders’ efforts in addressing the operational, technical, and regulatory challenges faced during the on-ground implementation of CEMS across the state. The discussion will also cover issues and solutions related to technology selection, installation practices, system performance, data reliability, interpretation, and compliance monitoring and disseminate national level good practices which can be replicated in the state.

The programme will bring together regulators, industries, technology providers, consultants, and other key stakeholders to develop a shared and practical understanding of the CEMS regime and a way forward to deal with issues and challenges in the CEMS regime.

Special emphasis will be placed on audit methodologies, data credibility, quality assurance and quality control practices, certification systems, and transparency in data reporting. With emerging regulatory approaches such as Emission Trading Schemes gaining importance, strengthening CEMS implementation is essential for effective monitoring and enforcement in Rajasthan.
