Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is a public interest research organisation based in New Delhi. We work to research, to communicate, to advocate for solutions and to build capacity of multipliers in society – from regulators to educators – to bring policy and practice for a green today. We call this knowledge-based activism.

My appeal today is to ask for your financial contribution so that we can continue this brand of public interest research with independence and courage.

Our financial model is simple – we raise programme related funds for specific work we do; in addition we are building a corpus through donations for our long-term sustainability. Your contribution will be added to the corpus of CSE and it will provide us the internal strength to pursue work with rigour, commitment and without any compromise on our independence.

The government has given CSE tax-exempt status (under section 12A of the Income Tax Act). Also, any donation you give us will be eligible for deduction under Section 80G. We will be happy to send you more details.
