Roundtable on National Clean Air Programme (NCAP): Next Steps to meet Clean Air Targets

Date: August 29, 2019

Time: 9:45 am to 1:30 pm

Venue: Juniper Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi

About the Roundtable: The objective of this round table is to have a focused group discussion on the learning from the on-going clean air action planning process under the NCAP framework, and to understand the next steps for further strengthening the technical support for NCAP solutions in different sectors as well as to understand the improvement needed in the compliance framework for effective action at the national and state level.

Non-compliant cities have started to prepare their first baseline action plans. It is, therefore, important to tap into the learning curve emerging from the multi-sector air pollution control efforts initiated in Delhi and National Capital Region. This will help to draw valuable lessons on what it takes to bend the obstinate pollution curve towards desired clean air goals. NCAP will have to join all critical dots to maximize impact.

This Round Table will involve a small group of targeted stakeholders who are involved -in varying capacities -with the multi-sector action and solution that NCAP requires.

#Participation in the workshop is based on invitation only
