Training Programme on Urban and Industrial Wastewater Treatment

The fast growing economy, rapid industrialisation and growing urban population in India along with increasing wastewater generation are reasons for concern and reiterate the need for appropriate water management practices. Centre for Science and Environment recognises this need and has developed a five-day hands on training programme aimed at giving practical exposure to participants on wastewater treatment for industrial and urban wastewater management including reuse and recycle.

Capacity building on E-waste and E-waste Rules

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), is an independent public interest research organization, which aims to increase public awareness on science, technology, environment and development. We’re glad to inform you that CSE has joined hands with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to build capacities of SPCBs on effective implementation of E-waste Rules. How to Clean the Yamuna

While the Delhi government has been debating on what needs to be done to clean the river, the pollution levels have only worsened. In its book Sewage Canal: How to Clean the Yamuna, published in 2007, the Centre for Science and Environment reported that the Delhi stretch of the river is not only dead but had an overload of coliform contamination. Two years later, the pollution data shows no respite to the river.
